From Mérida and Mexico City, Amantes del Futuro is the visionary project of Ima Felini (Immanuel Miralda), reimagining cumbia as a futuristic language since 2002. The sound distills roots—Colombian cumbia, sonidero, rebajada, villera and Peruvian chicha—braided with club-ready electronic low end.

Milestones include Boiler Room SYSTEM CDMX: Sonidero Special (2025), NMMA Gallery Sessions in Chicago (2024), and the LP Kumbiatitlán (2023), produced in Mérida with Turbosonidero as sonidero guide. Earlier, the EP Fantasía Olmeca (2020) cemented his architect status within the movement.

As a driver of networks like La Super Cumbia Futurística, Felini links tradition and avant-garde to ignite dancefloors and expand a sonidero cosmology into the future.
