Culturalex

Culturalex is a DJ, multimedia artist, and educator based in Montreal, born in Venezuela and shaped between Brazil, Switzerland, and Mexico. Her journey moves across territories, languages, and scenes, building a musical identity that doesn’t belong to one place, but to many times at once.

Her sound blends folklore, hip hop, and electronic music as if they were always part of the same system. In her sets, traditional rhythms are not reinterpreted through nostalgia, but through the future — as if memory itself could dance on a club floor. Each mix builds a bridge between the ancestral and the urban, the intimate and the collective.

She has performed in spaces such as Jardins Gamelin, Village au Pied-du-Courant, Montréal Complètement Cirque, Mal Nécessaire, and Club Pelicano, as well as stages in Brazil and Venezuela. She also actively collaborates with collectives such as Pikete, PLZRS, Frikiton, and Dot Dot Dot, where music is understood as a moving community and the dancefloor as shared territory.
